Butterfly Feature Mani

Hey lovelies, how are you all? Here’s a quick butterfly feature mani I did earlier. (All my manis are quickies now I’m a momma!) Here is the last butterfly feature mani I did.

The peachy colour is Nails Inc. Wellington Square and I drew the butterfly wing with my Barry M black & white nail art pens.

Then I Seche’d – you won’t believe how much of a god send Seche Vite is when two seconds after finishing your nails baby needs a cuddle!

Anyway enough waffle, here it is!

Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge -Day 6 Neon

Hi girlies and welcome to my day 6 entry for the Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge! Today I went with my Nails Inc new neon shade, Westbourne Grove for the base and Draycott Place for the leopard print. I then outlined with my black Barry M pen.

Green Dotty Bomb Mani

Hi girlies!

I have another ‘dotty bomb’ mani for you (I’m into dots at the moment you may be able to tell!)

I used various greens from my nails Inc. collection including my Glitterbomb:
❤ Knightsbridge green
❤ Belsize grove
❤ Fernshaw road

I used lychee and Barry M black and white nail art pens for my dotty nails.

I painted my Glitterbomb over the two different greens (thumb and ring finger) and I really like the effect!

Someone give me another technique; I’m driving myself dotty mad!

Dotty Bomb Mani

Hello lovely followers – I have internet again yippee!

Here is a mani I am currently wearing. I have Nails Inc Glitterbomb on my pinky and thumb and two polka dot fingers so I have lovingly nicknamed this mani a ‘dotty bomb’!

You can’t really see the shine on the Glitterbomb in this picture but it’s amazing in the flesh. Do you like it?

Summer Sun Palm Tree Mani

Hi lovelies, I fancied a bright, sunny mani because of the beautiful weather here in the UK!

20130610-230057.jpgSo I opted for bright orange ‘blandford street’ and a bright peach ‘wellington square’ colours from my Nails Inc. Ready to Wear collection

I did the darker colour as a feature nail and drew a palm tree on it to make it extra sunny!

This colour shows every imperfection within my nails but I like the consistency and coverage of this colour.

Cupcake Nails

Hi girlies, here is a mani that I have wanted to do for a while. I love cupcakes with a passion, I’m a sucker for anything with cakes on! So I was inspired to do a cupcake mani!

I didn’t want to go completely cake mad and have one on every finger so I went for a feature nail. I used mainly Nails Inc polishes for this mani.
Base – Grosvenor Street
Dots/Stripes – Beauchamp Place
Glitterbomb – Lavender Close

I also used my Barry M nail art pens for the cupcake itself.

I am a huge fan of cupcake nails, I might go mad and do a little cake on more than one nail next time!

Birthday Nails!

Hi all! I have done two lots of lovely birthday nails today for my friends. Both manis are to match a dress.

The first is a floral/butterfly mani.
The dress this is inspired by has blue and pink flowers with black butterflies.

20130531-185029.jpg

The second is a nautical mani.
The dress is this is inspired by is royal blue, so I thought a nautical theme would suit.

20130531-185225.jpg

As you can tell from the pictures I have used a range of techniques and polishes; glequins, Barry M nail art pens, dotting tools, feather polish and glitter gradient.

What do you think of these birthday manis?

Multi Nails Inc. Watercolour/Animal Print

Hi all, boy have I impressed myself with this nail design!

I saw Jacqui’s Watercolour Nail Art Tutorial over on her blog Crafty Nail and decided to give it a go.

I followed Jacqui’s tutorial and chose 6 Nails Inc. colours for my watercolours.

20130525-012635.jpg I also wanted to do a little design with my Barry M nail art pen over the top of my watercolour.

As Jacqui says, this method is easy peasy lemon squeezy! You literally paint a white base coat, wait for it to dry, then put your coloured blobs on your nail in any position. The next step is to lay your plastic bag over your nail and press lightly to spread the colours out.
This was a few of my plastic bags after I had laid them on top of my polish blobs.

20130525-012901.jpg

When you remove the bag, the effect reminds me of water marbling but it is a quicker and easier method!

Once I had my watercolour toes, I wanted to add a little something and it had pained me to remove my animal print pedi, so I decided to do a similar design as last time but over the top of my multi watercolour nails. So I did a mixture of leopard and tiger stripes over the top. This is how they turned out:

I am so impressed with the overall result! I absolutely love this design! It’s so bright, summery and unique; every nail is different. This is a new favourite technique of mine – thanks Jacqui!

Nails Inc. Metallic Collection Swatches

Hi lovelies, I broke up from work for a week today so celebrated with some metallic swatches :)

20130523-210551.jpg

Gold: Wembly
Silver: Greenwich Park
Bronze: Horse Guards Parade

The coverage is fab and they are super shiny – this is two coats. They are textured polishes and I really like the consistency, they are ‘limited edition polishes featuring a brand new textured chrome formulation to create a show stopping, ultra glossy finish’ according to the website. These are only the second textured polishes I have tried and I think they are great!
