Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge -Day 14 Flowers

Hi girlies and welcome to my day 14
entry for the Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge! Today I went with my orange w7 polish and white for my accent flower. I used Barry M raspberry for the other flowers.
I used dots to create these flowers and I really dislike them :(

Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge -Day 12 Dots

Hi girlies and welcome to my day 12 entry for the Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge! Today I went with my beautiful Barry M gelly polish ‘Lime’ and a selection of colours for the dots.

Galaxy Mani

Hi lovelies, I couldn’t wait to get my old chipped nail polish off and replace it with something beautiful and shiny! So I went for a galaxy nails mani. I’ve previously done this on my toes here, but never on my fingers, so I fancied a galaxy mani.

I used different colours this time; more greens and purples and only one glitter. I also used my silver Barry M pen to dot some stars.

I used the sponging technique again and I love the results! I like how it all looks a big mess when you begin sponging, but with a coat of glitter and Seche it becomes beautiful nail art!

Green Dotty Bomb Mani

Hi girlies!

I have another ‘dotty bomb’ mani for you (I’m into dots at the moment you may be able to tell!)

I used various greens from my nails Inc. collection including my Glitterbomb:
❤ Knightsbridge green
❤ Belsize grove
❤ Fernshaw road

I used lychee and Barry M black and white nail art pens for my dotty nails.

I painted my Glitterbomb over the two different greens (thumb and ring finger) and I really like the effect!

Someone give me another technique; I’m driving myself dotty mad!

Anna Rifle Bond Floral

Hi girlies! Here is a floral mani for you, inspired by Anna Rifle’s stationary range. I saw a tutorial over at The Beauty Department and fell in love with the simple floral designs so I decided to recreate it!

My mani is slightly different to the original but I still like it lots!
What do you think? I love The Beauty Department.

Multi Nails Inc. Watercolour/Animal Print

Hi all, boy have I impressed myself with this nail design!

I saw Jacqui’s Watercolour Nail Art Tutorial over on her blog Crafty Nail and decided to give it a go.

I followed Jacqui’s tutorial and chose 6 Nails Inc. colours for my watercolours.

20130525-012635.jpg I also wanted to do a little design with my Barry M nail art pen over the top of my watercolour.

As Jacqui says, this method is easy peasy lemon squeezy! You literally paint a white base coat, wait for it to dry, then put your coloured blobs on your nail in any position. The next step is to lay your plastic bag over your nail and press lightly to spread the colours out.
This was a few of my plastic bags after I had laid them on top of my polish blobs.

When you remove the bag, the effect reminds me of water marbling but it is a quicker and easier method!

Once I had my watercolour toes, I wanted to add a little something and it had pained me to remove my animal print pedi, so I decided to do a similar design as last time but over the top of my multi watercolour nails. So I did a mixture of leopard and tiger stripes over the top. This is how they turned out:

I am so impressed with the overall result! I absolutely love this design! It’s so bright, summery and unique; every nail is different. This is a new favourite technique of mine – thanks Jacqui!

Nails Inc. Swatches

Hi ladies, here are the last swatches from my collection of Nails Inc. polishes.

Top right: Notting Hill Carnival
Bottom left: Draycott Place

These are all 2 coats.

What do you think of the colours? I am pleased with all the colours in my Nails Inc. collection, I was very lucky with my lucky dip!

Rainbow Mani

In the 30 day challenge, I did a sponge gradient for the rainbow day, which I hated as it went all wrong! Because the sun is shining beautifully here in the UK I decided to try my hand at a rainbow mani again. But this time, I did it ruffian style so it looked rainbow shaped.

I used all of my Nails Inc collection to make the rainbow, but Barry M – Blueberry on all my other nails. I could have chosen a better purple, but apart from that it isn’t too bad! To improve this, I would choose a better purple and put clouds and a sun on my other nails.

Nails Inc. Swatches

Hi lovelies, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend-mine was brilliant! I visited The Paint Shop in Selfridges in London and spent far too long browsing the huge collection of polishes! I was being very good though, and did not buy any.

Today I have a selection of swatches from my Nails Inc. polishes.

Nail Challenge Day 27: Inspired by a Tutorial

Hi nailies, it is day 27 in Julie’s 30 day nail challenge and the theme today is ‘inspired by a tutorial’.

My tutorial is taken from The Beauty Department …’Bow Mani’.

I love The Beauty Department blog, so I had to choose one of their tutorials. This is a real pretty, girly manicure that you could do with any colours! I chose to keep my colours the same as the tutorial but I love it as it is so adorable!
