Galaxy Mani

Hi lovelies, I couldn’t wait to get my old chipped nail polish off and replace it with something beautiful and shiny! So I went for a galaxy nails mani. I’ve previously done this on my toes here, but never on my fingers, so I fancied a galaxy mani.

I used different colours this time; more greens and purples and only one glitter. I also used my silver Barry M pen to dot some stars.

I used the sponging technique again and I love the results! I like how it all looks a big mess when you begin sponging, but with a coat of glitter and Seche it becomes beautiful nail art!

Oh My Goodness!

Hello girlies! It seems like forever that I last posted and I wanted to let you know that I am still alive, it is just that dreaded time of year for teachers…REPORTS! I have now finished all of my reports and have a free night AND weekend I think; a rare treat! So hopefully I can update my chipped nail polish which quite frankly, is an absolute disgrace!

I’ve missed all your posts :(

Avon Nail Wraps – Bows for You

Hi lovelies, I have some Avon Nail Wraps to show you today.

As an Avon rep I get to try some of the items in a demo/selling capacity, so I got to try out the nail wraps a little early! I am certain I used the same type of thing from the Avon years ago and found them quite good then.

These are the Bows for You wraps. I found some nails wraps easier to apply than others; some seemed very fiddly to place on my nail, while others were perfect to place. The first one I did was my thumb and there are lots of creases at the tip due to my rubbish first attempt! My middle finger is a little off centre too!

I found the filing tricky at first because I filed the edge of my nail directly and found that I was filing the nail wrap away and you could see my nail tip! So I found I needed to file beneath the nail tip to just file the wrap away.

I love the fact that you put them on, and can get on with anything because there is no drying time. I also love that you can have instant nail art with no fiddly tools and no clean up. I wonder how long they will last….

Green Dotty Bomb Mani

Hi girlies!

I have another ‘dotty bomb’ mani for you (I’m into dots at the moment you may be able to tell!)

I used various greens from my nails Inc. collection including my Glitterbomb:
❤ Knightsbridge green
❤ Belsize grove
❤ Fernshaw road

I used lychee and Barry M black and white nail art pens for my dotty nails.

I painted my Glitterbomb over the two different greens (thumb and ring finger) and I really like the effect!

Someone give me another technique; I’m driving myself dotty mad!

Dotty Bomb Mani

Hello lovely followers – I have internet again yippee!

Here is a mani I am currently wearing. I have Nails Inc Glitterbomb on my pinky and thumb and two polka dot fingers so I have lovingly nicknamed this mani a ‘dotty bomb’!

You can’t really see the shine on the Glitterbomb in this picture but it’s amazing in the flesh. Do you like it?

Internet

Hi everyone! You may not have missed me but I have no Internet so cannot post! I should be up and running again soon so I will be MIA until then. I’m missing my daily dose of nails!

Models Own Artstix

Hi girlies, I have a Models Own Artstix mani for you today and I absolutely love it!

I purchased this at the same time that I got my Revlon Moon Candy polish. It’s quite a fluorescent shade of pink! The glitter is beautiful; hexagons, squares, circles of all sizes and I spotted lots of colours like gold, silver and a bronze coloured tone.

I painted two coats of the base colour and painted the glitter on top of my 3 alternate fingers – it only really took one coat of the glitter. This is one of the best glitters I have tried, as it went on really well with only 3 strokes over my nail. Then I used my Barry M Black Nail Art Pen to dot a border design on my remaining naked nails.

Although it’s really bright for my fair skin tone, I love it! It is such a lively, shiny summery colour and the glitter is great for coverage too.

I think I will try more of these Artstix! Do you like it?

Moon Candy Ruffian Mani

Hi you lovely lot, I was trying to be very good and not buy any more polishes when I came across the Revlon Moon Candy range. It has a base colour at one end and a glitter topper at the other. Well I just had to try it out! I opted for Orbit, which is a deep purple with a blue/purple glitter.

For this mani I started out with two coats of Maybelline silver and a coat of holographic silver. Then I carefully painted my ruffian with the base colour. Then I added the glitter topper mainly on the tips of my nails.

What do you think? I love the glitter, it’s more like flakes than glitter. Flakes of moon candy!

Summer Sun Palm Tree Mani

Hi lovelies, I fancied a bright, sunny mani because of the beautiful weather here in the UK!

20130610-230057.jpgSo I opted for bright orange ‘blandford street’ and a bright peach ‘wellington square’ colours from my Nails Inc. Ready to Wear collection

I did the darker colour as a feature nail and drew a palm tree on it to make it extra sunny!

This colour shows every imperfection within my nails but I like the consistency and coverage of this colour.

Anna Rifle Bond Floral

Hi girlies! Here is a floral mani for you, inspired by Anna Rifle’s stationary range. I saw a tutorial over at The Beauty Department and fell in love with the simple floral designs so I decided to recreate it!

My mani is slightly different to the original but I still like it lots!
What do you think? I love The Beauty Department.
