Barry M Bail Art Pens

Hi lovelies! As you can imagine, I have been dying to try out my nail goodies and I couldn’t wait to try my new Barry M nail art pens, courtesy of my lovely friend Sarah. I had read reviews about the brilliant ‘nib’ like applicator and how simple they were to use. I Googled some designs and found inspiration from Brit Nails Barry M Nail Art Pen review. I loved the jewel mostly and wanted to incorporate that into my mani. I also loved the animal print and wanted to see how easy the pens were to use by trying a few designs out.

This is what I came up with:

I started out with a Rimmel 60 second polish Shocker, and waited for it to dry completely. A coat of Sally Hansen’s insta-dri came in handy. When my polish was dry, I set to work drawing my designs. The pens are very simple to use and the design did not ‘drag’ when I had to colour over certain parts again. I added a glitter tip/gradient to my index and ring finger as this is the colour I recently had on my toes and I loved this as a gradient. I topped my designs off with a lovely shiny coat of Seche.

I love these pens, I’m itching to try even more designs out already!

Pretty Pink Pedi

Hi beauties, here is a little pink pedi for you. I tried to do a glitter gradient like the gradient I did here for the 30 day challenge, but with pink.

I hadn’t got a good pink glitter polish for a gradient, so I used Excuse Moi – Opi Muppets collection. This is how it turned out:

I used a pink to create polka dots on two of my nails too. I think it’s quite pretty, I just need some good glitter gradient polishes I think.

Nail Challenge Day 30: Recreate your Favourite

Hi beauties-it is the last day in Julie’s 30 day nail challenge and today is the recreate your favourite day. It’s crazy to think it has been 30 days since we started this journey, I am so happy with myself that I managed to do each and every day! Well done to all my fellow bloggers who have done some fabulous nail designs over the 30 days – I am forever inspired by you all!

So which mani to recreate? Well I chose the floral day-I couldn’t resist! You know I have a weakness for pretty florals!

My recreated floral is much the same as my original-I just changed the colours. I couldn’t chose a favourite design out of the two if I had to-I love them both! I like the springy colours and how they make my nails look all pretty and girly. I think lilac will be my next floral base.

I cannot believe this is the end of the challenge. Quick Julie, come up with something else for us to do!!

Nail Challenge Day 9: Polka Dot

Hi all, welcome to day 9 in Short and Sweet’s 30 day challenge and today the theme is polka dot.

I chose to paint my nails with Rimmel ‘grey matter’ and do polka dots on the tips with Rimmel ‘desire’ . I did my ring finger as an inverse design so it was different to the others. I only did the dots on the tips so it sort of looked like a French too.

Can’t believe it is day 9 already: dreading plaid day tomorrow!
