I love how you can make it different with just a few colour changes!

Now I have a question for you ladies! I need your help with some nail art! I have a new dress and it’s a bit of a big deal because it’s an actual nursing dress (which are so hard to come by and pricey here!) This is the pattern:

Hope to hear from you all soon! Xo

Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge -Day 8 Matte

Hi girlies and welcome to my day 8 entry for the Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge! Today I went with my 60 second polish ‘grey matter’ and I used the technique I spied on Jacqui’s blog here. I loved the cloud design so decided to try it out!
First I started with this:

Then after using my Rimmel Matte Top Coat, I ended up with this:

Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge -Day 2 Blue

Hi girlies and welcome to my day 2 entry for the Oh mon dieu its the rather awesome 31 day challenge! I went with Barry M blueberry under an Avon glitter mosaic polish for this mani but it all went a little wrong! I don’t really like the Avon glitter mosaics, they just don’t seem to…’crack’. You can hardly see it!

I dislike how you can hardly see any crack effect but I like the colour!

Galaxy Mani

Hi lovelies, I couldn’t wait to get my old chipped nail polish off and replace it with something beautiful and shiny! So I went for a galaxy nails mani. I’ve previously done this on my toes here, but never on my fingers, so I fancied a galaxy mani.

I used different colours this time; more greens and purples and only one glitter. I also used my silver Barry M pen to dot some stars.

I used the sponging technique again and I love the results! I like how it all looks a big mess when you begin sponging, but with a coat of glitter and Seche it becomes beautiful nail art!

Avon Nail Wraps – Bows for You

Hi lovelies, I have some Avon Nail Wraps to show you today.

As an Avon rep I get to try some of the items in a demo/selling capacity, so I got to try out the nail wraps a little early! I am certain I used the same type of thing from the Avon years ago and found them quite good then.

These are the Bows for You wraps. I found some nails wraps easier to apply than others; some seemed very fiddly to place on my nail, while others were perfect to place. The first one I did was my thumb and there are lots of creases at the tip due to my rubbish first attempt! My middle finger is a little off centre too!

I found the filing tricky at first because I filed the edge of my nail directly and found that I was filing the nail wrap away and you could see my nail tip! So I found I needed to file beneath the nail tip to just file the wrap away.

I love the fact that you put them on, and can get on with anything because there is no drying time. I also love that you can have instant nail art with no fiddly tools and no clean up. I wonder how long they will last….

Dotty Bomb Mani

Hello lovely followers – I have internet again yippee!

Here is a mani I am currently wearing. I have Nails Inc Glitterbomb on my pinky and thumb and two polka dot fingers so I have lovingly nicknamed this mani a ‘dotty bomb’!

The colours are:
Nails Inc ❤ southwark
Nails Inc ❤ paulton’s square
Barry M ❤ Blueberry
Barry M ❤ Berry
Barry M ❤ Lychee

You can’t really see the shine on the Glitterbomb in this picture but it’s amazing in the flesh. Do you like it?

Birthday Nails!

Hi all! I have done two lots of lovely birthday nails today for my friends. Both manis are to match a dress.

The first is a floral/butterfly mani.
The dress this is inspired by has blue and pink flowers with black butterflies.

20130531-185029.jpg

The second is a nautical mani.
The dress is this is inspired by is royal blue, so I thought a nautical theme would suit.

20130531-185225.jpg

As you can tell from the pictures I have used a range of techniques and polishes; glequins, Barry M nail art pens, dotting tools, feather polish and glitter gradient.

What do you think of these birthday manis?

Zoya Pixie Dust

Hello beauties, the other day I was scrolling through my reader and I came across some amazing gradient nails by Nicole at Polish Me Please. I absolutely fell in love with them-the colours looked beautiful, gradient looked fab and I loved the sparkle! I read on and found out they were textured too! They were done using Zoya Pixie Dust (what a cute name!) and I had seen lots of posts about it but I had never owned a Zoya polish. So I had to get me some Zoya Pixie Dust and recreate Nicole’s fab gradient!

20130524-090606.jpg
So my Liberty and Miranda Pixie Dust polish arrived and I had to start straight away! I followed Nicole’s instructions and sponged the gradient as she did and this is how mine turned out…

20130524-090655.jpg

Mine are not a patch on Nicole’s, because my gradient isn’t smooth enough, but I love them! I’ve never worn a textured polish without topcoat for longer than swatch photos before, I did wear Opi’s What Wizardry is This? but didn’t realise it was textured so I top coated it! The tips of my nails feel rough like they would catch on clothes and things, any tips from my fellow bloggers about wearing textured polishes?

Thanks for the inspiration Nicole :)
